Fuji
The saying goes that 1 billion Chinese cannot be wrong. Fuji with its
dense flesh and lovely sweet taste was a winner from the start. The
first Fuji’s planted in South Africa had codes like BC2, TAC 114 and
others, but the fruit, when grown right, ripened with a Turkish Deligh
blush and was a joy to eat. Like many part-red varieties, customers only
wanted the red ones.
